Phishing Attack
A Phishing Attack is a fraudulent process or practice of acquiring or attempting to acquire sensitive information such as username, password, social security number, pin no, OTP no, and bank details i.e. Credit card details by disguising it as a trusted or original service provider. Cybercriminal uses phishing methods sometimes through Electronic mail, SMS, and Instant Messaging Systems i.e. WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger to send professional-looking messages, they can initiate communication with the victim through a phone call before sending this fraudulent phishing message. The phishing message usually comes along with a link that the victim has to click to redirect him to a fake page that appears like an original one, this page’s content will contain the same information as the original one and may request the victim to enter such information like “Enter your username and password to log in” or “Enter your credit card to pay” or “Log in with your social media or email account” and so on.
